Naba Kumar Sarania has no relation to Development: Biswajit Daimary

Tamulpur, March 2, 2019:

Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary on Saturday slammed Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania and accused him of hypocrisy while addressing the press during the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Kumarikata College at Panbari. Daimary alleged that Naba Kumar Sarania keeps inciting the non-Bodos to protest by saying the Bodos are fierce and violent, but Daimary said that Bodos have to cooperate with non-Bodos to preserve Assamese language and culture. "Carrying out protests in the name of non-Bodos is protesting for protest’s sake”, Daimary added.

The Rajya Sabha MP also accused Sarania of not undertaking any developmental projects in the region and stated that Daimary himself had undertaken developmental works such as construction of roads, developing educational infrastructure, etc. “What has Sarania done?” Daimary questioned.

The Rajya Sabha MP also stressed the need to leave the ‘Bodo vs non’Bodo’ mentality and encouraged peace in the region.
