Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora on Thursday alleged the presiding and polling officers have violated the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for elections at the Majaliya Vidyalaya polling booth in Gohpur.
Addressing the media at Rajiv Bhawan, Ripun Bora mentioned that a lot of EVM tampering had happened in Kaliabor constituency and also alleged that the presiding officer and the polling officer were peeping in the polling booth at whoever was casting their vote. He also mentioned in many polling station, when one would press the Congress symbol, the vote would gets cast for the Asom Gana Parishad’s (AGP) symbol.
The accused presiding officer has been identified as Jagat Handique and the first polling officer is Raju Sharma, while the second polling officer is Dev Deka and the third polling officer is Bakul Deuri.
