Arunachal CM assures firm action on rising molestation, suicide and ragging cases

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on November 18 expressed serious concern over the increasing cases of molestation, suicide and ragging in the state, assuring strict action and stronger preventive measures.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said the government is committed to addressing these issues with urgency and sensitivity.
Khandu also responded to the controversy surrounding the foundation of the flyovers being constructed under Package C in Nirjuli. He said the matter has been taken up with the concerned agencies and assured that any discrepancies will be examined thoroughly.
The Chief Minister further stated that work under Package B of the four-lane highway in Naharlagun will be expedited to avoid further delays.

Urging the public to discourage the “money culture” during elections, Khandu appealed to all stakeholders to uphold clean and fair democratic practices. Responding to questions on BJP ticket allocation, he clarified that the process is purely a committee decision and not an individual choice.
The Chief Minister also addressed concerns related to the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act (APFRA), the alleged Frontier Highway compensation scam, and other emerging issues.
He stated that the government is reviewing all matters, and action will be taken wherever wrongdoing is found.
Khandu reiterated his commitment to transparent governance and assured that corrective steps will follow as investigations progress.
