As Arunachal Pradesh prepares for simultaneous polls, political leaders are racing to inaugurate pending projects.
Today, Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara inaugurated a Community Hall in Mikir village, Papum Pare district.
The hall, a long-awaited facility for the Mikir (Karbi) community of Balijan circle, was funded by the MLA's Local Area Development fund of 10 lakhs. The event was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Balijan, marking a significant milestone for the community.
The newly inaugurated hall was named after Late Manai Timung (Terangpi), a Gram Panchayat member from Balijan, in her memory. During the ceremony, MLA Tana Hali Tara reiterated the Bharatiya Janata Party's commitment to the welfare of all communities.
MLA Tana Hali Tara, who represents the Doimukh assembly constituency, emphasised the BJP's ideology of 'Sabka Saath aur Sabka Vikas', advocating that development should be inclusive to all sections of society.
He committed to the progress of his constituency, disregarding personal ambitions for ministerial roles and concentrating on public service. In addition, MLA Hali Tara highlighted the historical significance of the Mikir community.
He confirmed their indigenous status in Arunachal Pradesh, noting that the Mikirs, who have lived in border towns for generations, play a vital role in the region's history and culture.
