The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) has strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack that occurred on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of over 25 innocent tourists and left more than 20 others injured.
In an official statement, the APYC expressed deep sorrow and anger over the brutal killings. "While the entire nation is mourning and condemning this inhuman act of terror, we urge all sections of society to come together to fight against such acts of brutality. Terrorists have neither religion nor identity—they represent no one and belong to none," the statement said.
The Youth Congress emphasized the importance of national unity across political affiliations and religious lines, urging citizens to avoid giving the incident any communal or political color. “Instead of using such tragic events to divide the country for political gains, we should demand the strongest action from the government against the perpetrators and the nations that support them. Justice for all victims must be pursued at the highest level,” the organization stated.

APYC also paid tribute to the martyred Indian Air Force officer, Lt. Tage Halying, a native of Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh, who lost his life in the attack. "We stand in complete solidarity with the family of Lt. Halying and salute his bravery and sacrifice for the nation."
The Youth Congress further raised concerns over a widely circulated video showing a girl allegedly from Nagaland burning the Indian flag. "Such acts must not be ignored. These attempts to incite hatred and damage national unity are equally dangerous and must be addressed with due seriousness," the statement concluded.
The APYC reaffirmed its commitment to national integrity, unity, and justice, calling for immediate and resolute action to safeguard the country from such threats.
