Pipsorang, a remote circle near the Indo-China border in Kra-Daadi district, Arunachal Pradesh, has achieved road connectivity for the first time since India's independence.
This milestone was marked by a visit from Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Rajya Sabha MP Nabam Rebia, and State Urban Development Minister Balo Raja.
The journey to Pipsorang was made possible by the completion of the 55 km Tali-Pipsorang road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Pipsorang, recently upgraded to an SDO headquarters, is located in Tali Assembly Constituency, which remained unconnected until 2022.
During the visit, CM Khandu congratulated local MLA Jikke Tako, the Rural Works Department (RWD), and the people of Tali for achieving this historic milestone. He also directed officials to expedite the remaining work, ensuring the road's completion within a month.
“This road has brought unprecedented ease of connectivity to the people of Pipsorang and nearby villages, even though it is currently kutcha. The remaining 30% of the project will be completed soon,” Khandu assured.

The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to connecting all unlinked villages in the state. He revealed that 1,300 villages remain unconnected and pledged to prioritize road infrastructure under schemes like PMGSY and the Vibrant Village Programme.
Khandu also announced new projects worth ₹44.50 crore, including infrastructure development for the Pipsorang SDO office and roads to other unconnected villages. Additionally, he inaugurated the newly constructed Boa Sango to Neomi road, a circuit house at Tali, and laid foundation stones for multiple road projects.
The Chief Minister praised the collaborative efforts of the government and local stakeholders, expressing hope for further development in the region. He urged MLA Jikke Tako to monitor all ongoing and future projects to ensure quality and timely completion.
This achievement symbolizes Arunachal Pradesh’s relentless push for development and improved connectivity in its most remote regions.
