Dhubri district commissioner publishes final voter list for five assembly constituencies
In a press conference held on Monday, Dhubri District Commissioner Dibakar Nath officially released the final voter list for the district's five assembly constituencies. The detailed data provides insights into the total number of voters in each constituency and highlights the district's electoral readiness.
As per the final list, the voter statistics for the five constituencies are as follows:
6-Golakganj Assembly Constituency: 2,06,192 voters
7-Gauripur Assembly Constituency: 3,01,664 voters
8-Dhubri Assembly Constituency: 2,31,372 voters
9-Birsing Jarua Assembly Constituency: 2,76,079 voters
10-Bilasipara Assembly Constituency: 1,95,077 voters
The total number of voters across the district stands at 12,10,384, including 6,675 'D' voters (doubtful voters) and 2,102 service voters. The press conference, attended by Additional District Commissioner Banti Talukdar, District Election Officer Sugata Goswami, and leaders of various political parties, emphasized the transparency and accuracy of the electoral process.
Speaking to the media, Commissioner Dibakar Nath reiterated the administration's commitment to conducting a free and fair election. "The publication of the final voter list ensures electoral accountability and empowers eligible citizens to participate in the democratic process," he stated.

The Election Branch of Dhubri district has successfully completed training sessions for all officials involved in the voter list revision process. The training covered roles and responsibilities for Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), BLO Supervisors, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and Designated Officers. District officials confirmed that BLOs have been appointed for every polling station under the five assembly constituencies in Dhubri district.
The distribution of electoral staff across the five constituencies are as follows:
6-Golakganj: 5 AEROs, 21 BLO Supervisors, 243 BLOs
7-Gauripur: 6 AEROs, 37 BLO Supervisors, 361 BLOs
8-Dhubri: 5 AEROs, 23 BLO Supervisors, 284 BLOs
9-Birsing Jarua: 5 AEROs, 28 BLO Supervisors, 333 BLOs
10-Bilasipara: 5 AEROs, 24 BLO Supervisors, 244 BLOs
The announcement marks a significant step in the district's preparation for upcoming elections, ensuring that all eligible voters are included in the electoral roll.
