An ancient Hanuman temple has been discovered in Patharkandi, Sri Bhumi district, sparking widespread enthusiasm among the locals for its preservation.
The temple was unearthed near the Langai River in Bilbari, Patharkandi, during an excavation. Behind the temple, the Hanuman Chalisa is inscribed.
Devotees in the area have taken the initiative to reconstruct the temple, and a committee has been formed under the leadership of Anil Singh.

Sagar Sinha, who is currently serving in the Indian Army, made a generous one-time donation of Rs 1.5 lakh towards the temple’s reconstruction. Once rebuilt, the temple is expected to become a significant pilgrimage site for devotees.
Locals believe that the temple is thousands of years old and may have been buried under the soil due to unknown reasons.
It was discovered accidentally during excavation for house construction, and after careful digging, the entire structure was brought to light.
