A businessman from Assam, identified as Moslek Ali, was abducted by suspected armed Naga miscreants near the Namtola bridge on the Assam-Nagaland border.
The incident occurred around 6:15 PM, sparking panic and outrage in the area.
Eyewitnesses reported that the miscreants, who are believed to have crossed over from Nagaland, resorted to blank fire and forcibly took the businessman away, creating a tense situation along the border.
In a related act of intimidation, a grenade was reportedly thrown in front of the businessman's shop, however, it did not explode.

No casualties or injuries have been reported but the attack has left residents in shock and fear.
Local authorities have been alerted, and efforts are underway to trace and rescue the abducted businessman.
