Amid Durga Puja celebrations in Assam, a unique pandal has been set up in the Nagaon district of the state.
It is to be mentioned here that the Shani Mandir Durga Puja Sangha in Assam's Nagaon town has used coins to decorate their Durga Puja pandal.
The Rs 10 denomination coins have been placed on the top and Re 1, 2 and 5 denominations at the bottom.
The gold and silver contrast has given the pandal a stunning look.

Coins of all denominations, including Rs 2, Rs 5, and Rs 10 have been used to create this setup. The puja organisers have used coins worth Rs 11 lakh in this pandal.
Coins that were received as donations in the previous year were used in the creation of this year's pandal. Along with this, around Rs 10 lakh coins were collected from the State Bank of India for the decorations.
Artist Raju Chowdhury says, "...We have collected Rupee 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, and Rs 10 coins and stuck them on plywood... We have decorated the whole pandal with this...The coins are approximately worth Rs 11 lakh...We have collected the coins from the state bank and from small shopkeepers..."
Coins are stuck on plyboards in a manner wherein the golden coloured coins are placed on the upper part of the setup and the silver coins are placed in the lower part.
The organisers said that coins have been used to decorate the interiors of the pandals as well.
