Assam: Farmer grievously injured after wild pig attack in Dhing

A farmer in Assam's Dhing was left grievously injured after being attacked by a wild pig on July 21 This incident follows closely on the heels of a series of tiger sightings and attacks that have unsettled the region in recent days.
The latest victim, Atabur Rahman, was working in his field when he was attacked by a forest pig. The attack resulted in severe injuries, prompting immediate medical attention. Rahman has since been transported to Nagaon for advanced treatment to address his critical condition.
Residents of Dhing are on high alert as they contend with the dual threats posed by both tigers and forest pigs, raising concerns about the safety and security of local farmers and their livelihoods. Authorities are being urged to take swift action to mitigate these dangers and protect the people.
