Assam: Late night firing shakes Bongaigaon’s Nityabazar, shopkeeper escapes unharmed

Tension gripped Nityabazar in Bongaigaon district following a late-night firing incident near Boitamari Police Outpost on February 16.

According to reports, an unidentified assailant, riding a motorcycle, opened fire targeting a local shopkeeper, Abdus Salam, a resident of Kayethpara First Part. However, in a stroke of luck, Salam managed to escape unscathed.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack, with efforts underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
