With only days left for the Panchayat elections, campaigning has picked up pace across Assam, including the 83rd Margherita Assembly Constituency, where the BJP is stepping up efforts to secure voter support.
In Bargolai Panchayat, under the Bargolai Zila Parishad jurisdiction, extensive campaigning activities were carried out today, led by Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma. The legislator took part in multiple campaign meetings to bolster support for the alliance-backed candidates.
Addressing a public gathering at Bargolai Bazaar, MLA Sharma urged people to vote in favour of alliance candidates for continued development and progress in the region. The meeting was moderated by Deepak Chetia and saw the participation of several senior BJP leaders, including Bhabesh Dutta, Sukhdev Sharma, Zila Parishad candidate Kanika Dey, and Anchalik Panchayat member Munmi Gogoi.

In addition to Bargolai Bazaar, the MLA also participated in well-attended meetings at Gopal Dham and Namdang Colliery — all under Bargolai Gaon Panchayat.
The ruling party's outreach in the region reflects its robust grassroots mobilisation ahead of the crucial local body polls.
