Assam: Theatre festival 'Under the Sal Tree 2023' begins with participation of several theatre troupes

Surrounded in the natural set up of Goalpara, the annual 'Under the Sal Tree 2023" theatre festival kicked off with several theatre troupes taking part in this drama festival.

The festival under the initiative of Badungduppa Natya Kala Kendra, witnessed a large number of theatre troupes participating in the fest including Tripura, Chhattisgarh, Bhopal, West Bengal and Assam from December 15 to December 17 at Shalnibari in Rampur, Agia in Goalpara district. 

Badungduppa's theatre festival, which created an exceptional genre of theatre, has turned 14 this year. The audience of neighbouring Bangladesh including Maharashtra, Bangalore and Manipur are also enjoying the plays performed at the event, the organising committee said.
