A poacher was arrested by Panbari Police in Chirang district's Bijni area on Saturday, during an operation conducted at No. 4 Dailongjhar village.
The accused has been identified as Kamal Mondal (40), a resident of the same village.
Based on a tip-off, the police launched the operation and arrested Kamal Mondal while he was transporting illegal wildlife parts.
The seized items include three tiger teeth, ten tiger claws, 144 pieces of tiger bones, a motorcycle bearing registration number AS 26 B 7603, and an Oppo mobile phone.
Following the arrest, the accused and the seized materials were brought to Panbari Police Station. Although the arrest was made on Friday, the police disclosed the details to the media on Saturday as part of their ongoing investigation.
