A large-scale protest rally swept through the streets of Gosaigaon in Assam today as locals voiced their outrage over the recent wave of violence targeting Hindus in neighboring Bangladesh.
The unrest, which has seen killings, property destruction, and the desecration of religious sites such as monasteries and temples, has ignited deep concerns among the Hindu community in the region.
The protest, organized under the banner of the Greater Gossaigaon Sanatani Samaj—a coalition of various political organizations and ethnic groups—began at the Kamal Nath Club Kam Library in Gossaigaon. The demonstrators marched through the city, culminating in a gathering at the office of the Gosaigaon sub-divisional magistrate.

During the rally, participants demanded the immediate protection of Hindus in Bangladesh, urging authorities to halt the ongoing persecution and ensure the safety of the minority Hindu population. The air was charged with slogans like "Ensure the safety of the monasteries and temples of the Hindus of Bangladesh," "Protect the life and property of Sanatani Hindus," and warnings to the perpetrators of anti-Hindu violence.
The protestors' message was clear: the safety and dignity of Sanatani Hindus in Bangladesh must be upheld, and the international community must take action to prevent further atrocities.
