As floodwaters continue to wreak havoc across parts of Manipur, the Assam Rifles has intensified rescue and relief operations in coordination with the state administration.
Major General Ravroop Singh, AVSM, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South), stated:
"For the last four days, we have been monitoring the situation closely. We are coordinating with the state administration and have shared our helpline number with all agencies. Eight columns have been deployed, along with boats, to carry out rescue work."

He further added that the force responded swiftly to an emergency involving a team from All India Radio: "A team from All India Radio got stranded, and their equipment was submerged. They sent an SOS call, and our teams immediately rushed to the spot and rescued them safely."
Assam Rifles continues to play a vital role in supporting the civilian administration during the ongoing crisis, ensuring rapid response in severely affected areas.
