The three-day regatta of Meghalaya’s Rising Sun Water Fest marked its ceremonial conclusion on November 5 with the sun and waters of Umium lake literally binding the day’s end in a spectacular closing ceremony.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Meghalaya counterpart Conrad Sangma attended the closing ceremony, marked by cultural events, flypast by Microlight aircraft, and the beautiful display of rowing and sailing races.

The Rising Sun Water Fest 2022, which was underway at the Umiam Lake in Meghalaya, surrounded by pristine natural beauty, kicked off on Thursday November 3 and inaugurated by Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma.
