They are described as the heroes of Swachh India in Mizoram, who have taken it upon themselves to work towards cleaning up the dirty streets. Continuously cleaning the streets voluntarily for 9 years, the Republic Vengtlang Sanitation Volunteers of Aizawl today celebrated their 9th anniversary. After observing a Thanksgiving function at the stadium, the members marched in their locality, carrying placards that highlighted the importance of cleanliness.
