Family of 8 including 2 minors die after car falls into gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag

Eight members of a family, including two minors, lost their lives when their car plunged into a gorge in the Daksum area of Anantnag district on July 27. The ill-fated victims comprised a man, two women, and five children, all traveling from Kishtwar, according to police reports.

The tragic incident occurred when the Tata Sumo they were in lost control and careened off the road near Daksum. Following the accident, a prompt rescue operation was launched, though all eight passengers were found deceased.

Authorities have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the mishap. The community mourns this heart-wrenching loss as officials work to uncover further details surrounding the tragedy.
