Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has reiterated the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Act East Policy, emphasizing its role in the rapid development of the Northeast region.
Speaking on the ongoing progress in Tripura and the Northeast, Saha stated, “The Prime Minister always says that without development, we cannot move forward. He has always maintained that if the Northeast does not develop, the country will not develop.”
He highlighted the Rs 7,000 crore allocation for infrastructure development in the last budget, underscoring that growth is taking place in every sector across the region.

"Ever since the PM announced the Act East Policy, I have seen visible development across the Northeast. We are also making efforts to accelerate this progress," he added.
The Act East Policy, which aims to enhance connectivity, trade, and infrastructure in the Northeast, has led to significant investments in roads, railways, border trade, and industrial projects in Tripura and other states of the region.
