Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on September 13 lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s consistent engagement with the Northeast, noting that no Prime Minister before him has shown such concern for the region.
Reacting to Modi’s ongoing visit to Manipur, Saha said, “The Prime Minister is going there and the situation in Manipur is very good. We have seen that to date, no Prime Minister has been so concerned about the Northeast. Narendra Modi ji has been to the Northeast more than 60 times after becoming the Prime Minister.”

The Chief Minister also announced that Modi will visit Tripura on September 22, where he is scheduled to inaugurate the newly developed Mata Tripura Sundari Temple complex and perform puja. “There are 51 Shakti Peeths in the world, and one of these is the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Tripura. We have developed it there as per the wish of the Prime Minister. He will also inaugurate it, and he will also perform Puja at the temple,” Saha said.
