In the latest attack against the media, the Chairman of Jorhat E-media and journalist with prominent television channel 'DY 365' Rajib Bora was allegedly thrashed by miscreants on Sunday, 28 April.
The journalist was allegedly attacked near the Doss & Co. near K.B. Road, Jorhat by a gang of 5-6 persons.
Rajiv Bora has suffered injuries to his head and is undergoing treatment at JMCH.
It may be mentioned that in an earlier incident, journalist Rajen Deka who works with Dainik Asom, one of the oldest Assamese dailies, was severely injured when miscreants attacked him on his way home at Mukalmua, around 56 kilometre from Guwahati, late on Thursday evening.
