Guwahati, March 11: 2019:

An FIR has been lodged in Bhangagarh Police Station against a youth of Assam for posting an objectionable photo with the “malicious intention to malign” Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. The youth who made the objectionable post, Bitupon Phukan, hails from Bekadolong Village in Assam’s Charaideu district.

In the post, Phukon had posted a steamy picture of Bond girl Ursula Andress, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the Congress President, claiming her to be Sonia Gandhi. The image is contrasted with that of Goddess Durga, the ‘Bharat Maata’.

The FIR was lodged by Congress worker Netraranjan Choudhury, who has asked the authorities to take necessary “investigation and action.”

It is to be mentioned that a lot of fake news has been circulated online claiming Sonia Gandhi to be a “bar dancer”. In fact, these memes and posts are quite common on social media.
