NDFB-S linkman arrested in Chirang

Guwahati (Assam), September 19, 2018:

The Army, along with the Chirang Police and 210 Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) arrested a suspected National Democratic Front Bodoland-Saraigwra (NDFB-S) linkman from Chirang forest on Tuesday.

Defence sources said that during a search operation, a team of Army and Police traced a rebel trying to escape from the area. Immediately the team intercepted him and nabbed him. A Pistol and four live rounds of ammunition were recovered from him.

The preliminary investigation by police revealed that Pohit Narzary was helping NDFB-S rebels as a linkman in various activities.
