AIZWAL: The Mizoram government on Saturday extended the ongoing lockdown till June 14.
The decision was taken as the state is witnessing any decline in the number of positive cases while the casualties are increasing day by day.

The state government stated that in view of the current scenario, it was necessary to continue with the current restrictions imposed for curtailing people’s movement and activities with the purpose of containing further spread of COVID-19.
Mizoram so far has recorded 13300 cases of COVID-19 with 10048 recoveries. A total of 53 have died due to COVID-19 in the state.
The state currently stands at 3316 cases of COVID-19.
