Jarpum Gamlin Appointed as NPP National Secretary for Media

Shillong, June 24, 2019:

Jarpum Gamlin, who contested 2019 assembly election from Arunachal Pradesh as NPP candidate was today appointed by the National President Conrad K. Sangma as the National Secretary in-charge for media, social media and communications.

Jarpum Gamlin is a former journalist and founding Editor and Publisher of Arunachal based newspaper 'Eastern Sentinel'. He has over two decade of experience in the field of media.

“Communications plays a very important role in politics in an age of information. Gamlin with prior experience in the field of media will be an asset for the party. He understands the nuances of media and communication and knows the industry very well. I am sure he would be a friend to all the media persons, particularly from the Northeast and will aid in providing required information to the media,” said Conrad K. Sangma, national president of NPP and Chief Minister of Meghalaya.

Paknga Bage, who contested the assembly election from Arunachal Pradesh was today appointed as National Secretary incharge of Nagaland. He has been entrusted the role to strengthen the party base in Nagaland in close coordination with Nagaland State Unit.

“As national party, NPP has already begun its interventions to strengthen the party base in different State of the Northeast and necessary initiatives are being taken to ensure that the party reaches out to the people of Northeast and beyond,” Sangma added.
