No jail can keep him behind bars for long, said Arvind Kejriwal's wife during video statement

Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, recently released a video statement relaying the CM's message from jail. In her statement, she shared that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief has urged the citizens of Delhi to keep faith in him.

Assuring the women of Delhi, she said that Kejriwal plans to fulfill his promises, which includes providing an assistance of Rs 1,000 per month to them, upon his release from jail. She also warned of certain forces both within and outside India that are undermining the country, calling for vigilance and resistance against these elements.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, 55, was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the anti-money laundering law from his official residence in Delhi's Civil Lines area on Thursday.

His arrest was ordered by Special Judge Kaveri Baweja at the Rouse Avenue court on Friday, who granted the agency's request for a 10-day custody. Despite ongoing investigations into an alleged excise policy scam involving multiple raids and arrests over the past two years, Delhi Minister Atishi stated on Saturday that the ED has failed to establish a money trail against any AAP leader.

Kejriwal's arrest, she said, was merely based on the statement of Sharad P Reddy, an employee of Aurobindo Pharma, who was arrested by the ED in November in connection with the same case. Prior to his arrest, Kejriwal made an appeal to the women of Delhi, assuring them that he would soon be released and would keep his promise to them.
